2019 Faction Candide CT 5.0 183 w/ Marker Griffon 13 ID and Phantom base. Treated with DPS Phantom base treatment. Absolutely amazing for fat skis. Mounted to 27.5 boot, 317mm BSL. Only mounted once, at All Mountain recommended mount point. They were on midwest snow for about 1 hour, but they are perfect. I live in the midwest and have two other pairs of fat skis. With Canadian trips cancelled this year, these just didn't make it out at all. The Faction Candide 5.0 has a massive 122mm waist combined with tip and tail rockers. The flex is on the stiffer side and the 25m long radius grips hard. A true powder ski that likes to go fast in all conditions.

The Hybrid Core keeps the weight down and the Micro-Cap sidewall adds durability. If you are looking for a Freeride machine with Freestyle capabilities than this is your ski. The Faction Candide 5.0 is a directional freestyle ski with freeride capabilities.

Double rockered with zero camber and a stiffer flex. This ski likes to go forward fast but can spin, slash and carve the entire mountain. Anti-chip Micro-cap Micro-cap construction on the topsheet increases the durability. Phenol plate A reinforcement plate is placed on top of the lightweight Balsa/Flax hybrid core for better binding screw hold. Anti-scratch (textured) topsheet The textured topsheet does not scratch like a smooth shiny topsheet. It sheds off snow very easily as well. Die-cut ptex 3000 Very fast and durable base.

These skis have zero camber making them easy to turn and slash. They do grip hard when put on edge though! Radius The 25 meter radius is on the longer side but it gives the ski great stability when on speed and in longer turns. Because of the double rockers you can still make shorter turns with a little more effort. Weight A set weighs 1920 grams and that is impressive for such wide skis.

Thanks to the hybrid Balsa/Flax core these skis have great swing weight despite their width. Core The core is a mix of Balsa and Flax wood with fiberglass laminates and a Phenol binding plate keeping the weight down. The flex is on the stiffer side and matches the need for speed of Candide.
