I have not seen another pair of these in quite a while. This is how the maker describes them. FEATURES : FlexFrame Chassis The patented fully-flexible skate frame has a built-in camber, allowing the middle wheels to sit off the ground, until you step into the skate. FlexChannel Design A series of vertical slots are formed into the top of the skate frame directly over the center wheel pair, improving the overall flexibility in a variety of terrain conditions. Boots, Bindings and Poles Our FreeRide skates comes standard with Marker alpine ski bindings and are designed to be used with your own ski boots and poles.

See specifications below for more details. Most ski poles can be used without modification. Construction : Machined space plate and chassis. Ride style : Fitness and conditioning. Bearings : High-performance ABEC 5 bearings.
Bindings : Marker alpine ski bindings. The concept behind StreetSki is the extended length of the frame adds stability, while the two center wheels act as a pivoting point for carving turns. And, the fully-flexible StreetSki frame greatly reduces vibration over varied terrain. In addition, the use of ski boots allows for the same "skier stance" as when snow skiing, thus placing similar emphasis to ski-specific muscle groups.
I live in the Adirondacks, in a small city that has North America's first lighted Nordic Ski Trials and we have two local Alpine Ski Resorts within minutes and Lake Placid is an hour and a half away. I have not tried these roller skis but have used Nordic Roller Skis to train in the warmer months. These SteetSkis are huge compared to Nordic Roller Skis. They are super well made, have FOUR very fast ABEC 5 82A inline skate type wheels on them with two in the center for turning. They have Marker EPS 10 bindings installed that can probably be adjusted to different sized boots (right now the spacing is about 13 3/8 between the front inside area of the white binding to the rear white inside area off the binding). There is an adjustment screw at the back of the rear part of the binding and I SUSPECT there is also some adjustment of the binding parts attached to the tops of the roller skis. Note: you may want to or need to change the bindings if they can't fit your boots.

Also you will no doubt need to adjust the tension of the bindings to fit your weight and skiing style. Nordic Roller skis have wheels that are designed to not roll too fast and are designed to mimic on snow speed.

These StreetSkis look to be a lot faster than Nordic Rollerskis so it's up too the user to use them in a safe place since they have no brakes. I would recommend flatter areas in parks etc. They ARE NOT FOR OFF-ROAD use. These skis appear to be in very good plus to excellent used condition. I see minor boot step in wear on the bindings, minor wear on the brakes (not sure how they are used on street surface since I believe they are just designed to stop the skis from getting away from the skier on snow if the skier release from the binding) and just the expected wear on the insides of the wheels but these wheels have a lot of miles left in them. Having owned everything from carbon fiber, to fiberglass, to alloy (Nordic) roller skis, these composite roller skis are made really well. These are heavy skis so that cost is factored into my price.
