VOLKL RTM UVO 84 with MARKER iPT WIDE RIDE XL 12.0 bindings 177 cm. These skis come with the factory installed Marker Wide Ride XL 12.0 bindings.

These are not Demo bindings but the original Marker bindings that came with the skis. I would rate the tops as good to very good: There are no major scraps or dings of any kind. The skis have just been professionally tuned by The Boot Pro in Ludlow, VT.

There is excellent structure in the base and plenty of meat left on the edges. I would rate the bottoms as good to very good. Here is what has been written about the Volkl UVO skis.

This season Volkl has added the UVO dampening system to the ever popular RTM 84! The RTM 84 UVO is also made with the new 3D Ridge Technology that lowers the overall weight of the ski by having a thinner construction near the edges of the ski and a raised ridge that runs down the center in front of and behind the binding. 3D Ridge Technology reduces the inner inertia around the center of the ski to make it more agile, with the optimum amount of flex.

The addition of the UVO to the RTM 84 takes a stiff and stable ride and makes it even more stable and smooth as you rip down a groomer at top speed. The UVO is attached to the shovel of the ski to absorb torsional, lateral, and longitudinal vibrations. A layer of steel sits on top of the wood core to increase the dampness, edge hold and rebound. Rocker in the tip of the RTM 84 UVO will initiate turns for you lightning quick, camber underfoot will give you a strong rebound, rocker in the tail will release out of turns with less effort, and increase the amount of maneuverability for slicing any turn shape you want on the groomers.
